- Dr. Jamal Alkoteesh, Chief of Interventional Radiology and Consultant, serves as the Regional Chairman of the Clinical Imaging Department for Tawam and Alain Hospitals, appointed by SEHA. He leads the integration of radiology services in the Eastern region of Abu Dhabi Emirates.
- With specialist training in Radiology at the University Hospital of Wales in 1997, Dr. Alkoteesh has worked in prestigious international hospitals, including Prince Philip Hospital in Wales, Cork University Hospital in Ireland, KAMC in Riyadh, and various UAE hospitals.
- A fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) since 1999, Dr. Alkoteesh established and managed the Radiology Residency Program at SKMC and Tawam Hospital. He is a DOH Examiner, a member of CIRSE, and holds the European Board in Interventional Radiology (EBIR).
- Dr. Alkoteesh specializes in diverse interventional radiology procedures, conducting over 10,000 procedures in the UAE in the last seven years. His expertise spans vascular intervention, hepatobiliary procedures, tumor ablation, and more. He established Abu Dhabi’s first Radiology residency program in 2010, holds an adjunct Associate professor role, and actively contributes to the Arab Health/Total Radiology conference since 2010.
- Dr. Alkoteesh currently is the only Full Professor of interventional radiology in the UAE at the first established UAE University and highest-ranking college of medicine in the UAE.
