Welcome to the Pan Arab Interventional Radiology Society (PAIRS)!

The Pan Arab Interventional Radiology Society (PAIRS) is a non-profit education and scientific society established in 2006, aiming to spread the knowledge about interventional radiology in the Arab world and region.

Further to our website which provide the most up-to-date information to better inform your practice, healthcare professionals are invited to join our membership corner which allow members to access a range of different information. The membership corner includes the virtual education platform which reflect on takeaways from past events and learn from courses you might not have participated in. Also, it provides access to acknowledge publications in related neurology diseases among other.

ABOUT PAIRS

Pan Arab Interventional Radiology Society (PAIRS) was established in 2006, with the aim to spread the knowledge about interventional radiology in the Arab world and region. PAIRS is a nonprofit, professional medical society dedicated to fostering research in interventional radiology by supporting education, training and scientific research.

PAIRS actively promotes continuing education and training for its members, as well as other physicians with an active personal involvement and interest in interventional radiology. We host a number of educational activities including our annual congress, workshops, teaching courses and orientation for medical students.

MISSION

The mission of PAIRS is to provide high quality educational activities, self-directed learning modules and assessment tools pertinent to all aspects of interventional radiology, with the overall goal of advancing physician competence, enhancing practice performance, promoting patient safety and improving patient outcomes.

VISION

PAIRS believes it is the professional responsibility of Interventional radiology professionals to pursue continuous learning and professional development throughout their careers in order to improve their knowledge, skill and performance.

The vision of the PAIRS is to optimise minimally-invasive patient care.

AWARDS

CIRSE honours PAIRS’ Founding President

Professor Aghiad Al-Kutoubi, founding president of PAIRS, was honoured by CIRSE as a Distinguished Fellow at the Annual Scientific Meeting in Barcelona on September 10 in recognition of his pioneering role in the fields of IR and Radiology Education in the UK and the Middle East

In his speech, Professor Al-Kutoubi emphasized the important role of PAIRS and commented on the expansion in membership and number of IRs in the Middle East

This honour, in many aspects, reflects the expanding impact of PAIRS in the international arena
